Mr. Charles Omari-Brakoh, our meticulous Accountant, whose distinguished career is built on a profound understanding of financial education and cooperative leadership. His journey to Emmanuel Co-operative Credit Union Ltd. is a rich tapestry of experience, weaving together academia, cooperative management, and strategic financial oversight. Omari-Brakoh began his career in the halls of academia at the prestigious Swedru School of Business, where he served as a teacher, specializing in Financial Accounting. It was there he honed his ability to not only master complex financial principles but, more importantly, to impart that knowledge to others a skill that remains at the heart of his professional approach. Driven by a passion for the cooperative movement, he transitioned from teaching to practice, joining the Adepa Teachers Co-operative Credit Union as a coopted Board Member. His leadership and financial acumen quickly became evident as he took on the role of Accountant, meticulously managing the union's books. His dedication and strategic vision were soon rewarded with a promotion to Branch Manager, where he successfully oversaw operations, member relations, and branch growth, gaining invaluable frontline leadership experience. He brought this wealth of experience to Emmanuel Co-operative Credit Union Ltd., first as a Branch Head, where he fostered a member first culture and ensured operational excellence. His deep understanding of both the educational and practical sides of finance, combined with his proven leadership, made him the natural choice for his current role as the union's Accountant.
