Edward Augustus Mensah, born on 10th June, 1978 to Mr. Edward Cuthbert Mensah and Agnes Aba Mensah, had his formative upbringing from diverse communities. He is a seasoned educationist and administrator with over 25 years of dedicated service to the Ghana Education Service. He currently serves as the Assistant Headmaster (Academic) at Aggrey Memorial Zion SHS, Brafoyaw, a role he transitioned into after a successful tenure as the Assistant Headmaster (Academic) of Odoben Senior High School from December 2021 to February 2024. An alumnus of the University of Education, Winneba, Mr. Mensah holds a Bachelor of Education (Music) and a Master of Arts in Music Education. A prominent figure in the musical landscape, he has served as a consultant, teacher, and director of music for several societies within the Methodist Church Ghana, where he has nurtured many talents in the creative music enterprise. His career is marked by a strong commitment to leadership and teacher advocacy, having served as the GNAT District Chairman for Abura Asebu Kwamankese, National Second-Cycle Schools Coordinator, and Assistant Secretary of the Ghana Music Teachers Association (GMTA). Beyond the classroom, Mr. Mensah is a dedicated Unionist and Cooperator. In addition to his role as Board Secretary of the Emmanuel Co-operative Credit Union, he was elected as the Central Chapter Executive Member in 2024. He also once led as the Chairman of the Aggrey Memorial Zion SHS Teaching Staff Welfare Association from 2019 to 2021. To this, it worth reflecting his lifelong dedication to the professional and personal well-being of his peers. Mr. Mensah remains committed to transforming lives through quality education, musical excellence, and the financial empowerment of his community.
